FRAME OBSESSION
photo series / +Jurana Hraste
An exhibition of photographs of certain scenes repeating in series of 3 to 20 photographs
There are scenes we always think about, but we will never photograph them. They are a longing for photography and because of them we take the camera and photograph. As long as they exist we will not stop taking photographs.
There are scenes that we photograph almost every day. They are always there. They're comforting. We know them by heart, we'll photograph them forever. They are an indicators of change.
There are spontaneous scenes that happen suddenly, with the perfect disposition of characters, the perfect frame for events, the perfect moment of light.
Countless times, the repetition of a frame becomes a scenery or a framework for any event, supporting all random interventions. These photo frames are personal visual experiences, the current image that exhilarates the desire and the almost obsessive excitement, because that person and that moment can not pass us without us stopping it.
Again, seeing hundreds of photographs of the same scene, we notice random interventions and events recorded in the same frame. The scene becomes a solid foundation that ultimately disappears and only events remain.
